wife's Overheating CRV - 4/9/2007 11:01:32 PM    proff   Posts: 26 Joined: 9/10/2006 Status: offline the radiator is being checked out right now ,but i would like to know where is the thermostat and if thats it on the side of the motor closer to the firewall with alot of hoses entering it. the bolts that hold it on are very hard to get to. We both had HRV's but will never do that again due to the auto gearbox is a problem after 230,000 km and anything goes wronmg , you have to have a $7000 computer to tell you whats wrong, or search all day looking for a problem _____________________________ Allen HRV+CRV NSW Australia Post #: 1

RE: wife's Overheating CRV - 4/12/2007 6:42:31 AM    acmech52   Posts: 1047 Joined: 3/1/2006 Status: offline On your tight bolts/nuts,  apply some liquid wrench, wd40,some type of penetrant release for tight bolts/nuts and let it penetrate,  put a socket or wrench on it, and tap the head or the bolt/nut-shaft with a light hammer,  while turning, tapping the bolt/nut usually will come loose.  Don't push so hard to break the bolt/nut-shaft.  _____________________________ galatians 5:22-23 (in reply to proff) Post #: 4
