Let me just say that I have done both with my '97 civic. I put my bodykit on first and then I lowered the car almost two inches. I have a set of adjustable coilovers you can get off ebay for $40 and a set of dropzone struts that sell on ebay for $200 and a set of skunk2 front camber adjusters that I got off ebay for $150. You can also do as I have done and upgrade your tires to Nitto Neo Gen tires which are designed for lowered cars and they dont wear out as bad. I got mine off ebay for $300 for the set. A tire shop will quote you upwards of $600. I drive my car all the time. You just have to be more careful when driving on certain roads so that you dont bottom out. And DO NOT STRADDLE ROAD KILL. go around it or you will bust your body kit. And get a urethane body kit. They dont break or crack as fiber glass will if you barely stress it or heavily bottom it out. And best of all a car that is lowered and kitted looks awesome.

As said before by another user. Forget a body kit. Lower the bastard. Body kits are too much of a hassle. Plus who really has money to do it all proper? $500 for a body kit shipped with 2 months wait. 250-300 install and prep. $250 paint?
