Hi everyone. I purchased a 2003 2-door Accord EX V6 a month or two ago and I''ve been having problems with the driver side power window. The window switch always felt a bit loose, and shortly after I got the car home the switch would stop working intermittently. Every couple of days it would not roll down when I pressed the switch, sometimes fiddling with it would make it work, sometimes I just had to wait a few minutes, and it would start working again. And it was only rolling it down I had a problem with, it would always roll up.

The other day I had the windows down and the driver-side window refused to roll back up. Checked the fuses and they were all fine. I figured it was just the switch. I took the panel apart at home and ended up breaking the switch all the way off (it was apparently already half broken).

So I went to the dealership and coughed up the $175 for a new power switch. The part came in this morning and it did not fix it (but I need it anyway since the old switch is broken). The passenger window still works fine, but I cannot get the drivers side to come up. I''m going to take the door panel off tonight and see if I can see a loose connection or something. Anything specified I should be looking for?

And just today at lunch the passenger window stopped working. Is there another control unit or something for the windows that I could look at?

Also, with the new control unit plugged in my keyless entry doesn''t work. Do I need to program it somehow or what? I really appreciate any help you guys can provide as this has been a giant pain having my windows stuck down (thunderstorms all week).

welcome to the forum drew and not u:   enjoy your stay.   On your drivers window, when you have the panel off,  check for clean connections to the motor.   the motor brushes might be worn or dirty.   If there is a lot of brush left,  contact cleaner may help to get the motor the power needed to move the window.  check also to see ( if a used car )   if the interior of the door looks like it was under water.    If lots of rust,  motor most likely problem.   on passenger side try the passenger door switch.  if this switch does not work also,  the motor should be checked out for good connection and if the brush might be worn out.   Normally the window motors don''t ware out in 5 years.   unless it was really used a lot.
