After being unable to lift the outboard using the power trim i was hoping that it would just be a matter of replacing seals. However after lifting the boat out of the water it was discovered that the assembly casing had corroded thereby losing oil and pressure in the system.
The engine is a 2001 BF90.
The engine has been serviced every year and the anodes replaced each time.
Has anybody had this problem or heard of it happening.

I would like to thank Honda and Herm Seaway Guernsey for the help I received over this problem.
