i was just in a wreck with my 00 accord coupe. i was just wondering if there were any way i could take out my airbags n sell them...or if its not even worth it. and also..i have a 6-disc CD changer in my armrest if anyone knows how to uninstall it..could u let me know?

i know for a fact that there is a way to remove airbags, but im not exactly sure how...i believe that the steering wheel bag comes out with the wheel, and maybe the whole column

I'm almost sure you could sell your airbags for a decent price..
In some areas of the US they are still stealing cars for the air bags...

my dad works next to a body shop that takes the airbags out of badly wrecked cars, and "Tests" them by hooking them to a car battery and exploding them..youd be surprised how far into the air they go!

i just went through this same situation. i'm in canada, icbc told me it was legal to do..but say you're in a crash..the other person is killed..you're not covered because you tampered with your srs. if you need an inspection it's all gotta be on the car to pass. your seatbelts also run off the srs, they have a charge where you get sucked to your seat, when you disarm your airbag you kill the whole system so those won't work. your airbags are worth over a grand a piece..sweet eh? it's up to you...i decided against it. good luck!
